1/35 Scale · Historical Dioramas

ZIGSCAPE

BUILT. LANDSCAPED. CREATED.

A father-and-son bench in full campaign mode — printing, landscaping, and kitbashing massive 1/35 Pacific War dioramas one muddy zone at a time. Dad, son, and a tight crew of mates are building interconnected boards you can actually game across: not a catalogue drop, just a long-haul hobby push to put the Papuan theater on the table.

What's actually running in the shed — FDM printers, slicer settings, and the filaments we're burning through to keep infantry sharp and jungle terrain brutal.

Flashforge AD5M Print Farm

Enclosed AD5M rigs on the bench — direct-drive, CoreXY, and dialled in for overnight runs when the campaign needs another hundred bush strips or a full rifle section off the plate.

Layer Precision

Infantry and fine detail run at 0.12 mm — slow enough to read webbing and rifles at 1/35 without babysitting every plate.

Materials Used

PLA+ for tough infantry and gear that survives handling. Standard PLA for terrain bulk and fast fill. Flexible TPU for jungle leaves and vines that bend instead of snap. Real plaster and acrylic mud pastes hand-sculpted on top for Pacific ruts, kunai grass, and bogged-track misery.
